PK Sales tax

Invoicing in Pakistan

A business registered in Pakistan charges Sales tax at ⁨18%⁩ and invoices in ⁨PKR⁩. Unlike a value-added tax there is no input-credit chain, so the tax sits on the sale itself and the document has to state it plainly. DocsOrigin takes the rate, the document names and the numbering conventions for Pakistan from the registry.

Invoicing in Pakistan is free forever with DocsOrigin: every document type, every export, no card and no trial.

How reliable is this figure

Graded high: this rate has been checked against a tax-authority or official source. It is still your responsibility to confirm it before you rely on it.

Whatever the grade, your own setting always wins — a rate you enter overrides the registry everywhere, including on documents already dated in the past.

Tax identifier

On a document issued in Pakistan the identifier is labelled Tax ID. It is printed in the header of every tax document, isolated left-to-right so it reads correctly in any interface language.

No structural check is applied for Pakistan: the format is accepted as entered, because a wrong rule that rejects a valid number is worse than no rule.

Numbering

Pakistan does not impose a strict national sequence, but DocsOrigin still numbers sequentially per document type and per year, because a gap is the first thing anyone auditing you will ask about.

Prefix, padding and yearly reset are configurable per document type, and the series is kept separately for each type.

How Pakistan writes dates and money
